One of the most helpful tools I had at my disposal when raising my kids was my understanding of the vibration of numbers, from day of birth to life path to life cycles and pyramids. The science of numbers – numerology was very often the topic of discussion between my mum and myself.
My learnings were mostly taught to me by my mum and at times seemingly absorbed by osmosis since she used numerology every single day, across so many areas of life.
Little tidbits of knowledge were usually spoken in a very matter of fact way, just thrown out there, so often that I’ll sometimes catch myself thinking of some weird and quirky trait or characteristic related to the vibration or energy of a number and then realise it was small remark made in relation to that number by mum, just a few words made in passing.
I have many of those moments when I hear her voice dropping me a little piece, a snippet of knowledge, from the ethers, it’s been more than a couple of decades since she passed so whenever I hear one of those little nuggets of wisdom coming through I stop what I’m doing and take notice.
Numerology, along with astrology, was one of the parenting tools I used the most while my kids were growing up. It’s one of the tools I am incredibly grateful for because it helped me to understand the unique needs of each of them, and more than likely saved my relationship with at least one of them while we were all navigating through particularly tricky times.
Knowing which communication style to use for each child and when, along with knowing their currency, what they place the most value on – even unknowingly – which could almost equate to love language in some instances, meant a lot of situations that could have been quite explosive, instead became constructive experiences where we both felt understood. Not to say that was always easy either, we had plenty of those ‘count to 10 and take a breath’ moments.
Throw life cycles and pyramids into the mix and things become a little more complex.
I had a numerology chart for each of my kids (thanks mum) that I referred to regularly, not only for explanations as to how I could best navigate through a figurative minefield of daily life with 3 uniquely individual human beings learning how to understand themselves and their place in the world. But also to understand a new generation, one growing up in a world quite different to the one I’d grown up in.
Their life cycles and pyramids, along with their life paths and challenges along the way, helped to see the direction they were headed in long before they hit each trajectory. It really helped to be able to see what was coming, to steer things, it gave me time to prepare for the different stages.
For all children born in the 21st century life is always going to include an element of duality, it’s not just about me, it’s about you, me, us, the greater good, the collective. Relationships with those outside of my relationship with myself.
That very concept is built into the nature of younger generations, it’s played out every day. And it’s a very different way of thinking to anybody born in the centuries beginning with 1 – 1900, 1800, 1700 – you get the gist. Being in a century that is has sharing built into it requires a psychological shift.
The 1 is always about the the self, the ‘I, me, mine’ but that no longer works unless it’s a win win — it’s about the collective, the greater good.
Numerology charts for everyone born from 2000 on reflect the theme of the new world – it shows up in all their life paths and pyramids. Connection and connectedness – it’s at the heart of everything.
